A few from our mini trip to LA. Only took out my camera for a few hours so didn't take much shots. We spent a whole day in Disneyland, but the wife would only allow me to bring the P&S...Really makes me wonder if I should invest in a S100 or mabye the new G1x coming out if the size is reasonable...

This really is my go to lens now that spends far more time on the camera than any others. I've been using it to document a car rebuild I'm doing right now.

Nice shots, when I looked at the cylinder head it threw me for a minute and I needed to think about what type of car engine has that two cylinder configuration with an oval combustion chamber, then I remembered "flat-four" would be the only engine that would go with that cylinder head and sure enough your other pictures show your Scooby-Doo. Nice work!

^ sigma 24 or 28 f1.8 but not as good as the 30mm

Crap...I'm screwed! Mine has been passed on to person in Hawaii. He better make use of it! I already regret the sale.

Sending mine in tomorrow for a focus adjustment. Had this lense for a few months and am just now getting around to fixing the problem.

Well, after being backordered for almost two months from Adorama, mine should FINALLY be here today. But, the question is; will my wife check the mail?

And no, I'm not going to ask her to, and don't ask why.

What f stop are most people using in daylight ? I like to shoot wide open, but it just gets too white washed. I know it is going to vary depending on conditions but when you shoot wide open in direct sun and still want to get some crispy great dof photos

Are you shooting in manual? You should be able to push the Shutter way up

try manual - fastest aperture you can manage without underexposing. You can try 1.6/1.8 getting the similar DOF but a slightly sharper image. Use ISO 100 if possible in broad daylight.
