^ Second picture is really nice! I like the reflection that is casted although I think it would help with a little sharpening.

Thanks nccb and joelfun96.

This is such a nice lens on the 1Dmark2. I was worried there'd be overwhelming vignetting, but it's been negligible.

That's a nice dog. My wife and I really want a dog (she wants a english bulldog), but we both can have long weekdays away from home and we love to travel way too much... Anyway here's a Chow Chow I saw a week ago!

Thanks for the dog comments. Shelties are just incredible dogs, that Chow Chow ain't bad either. Getting back to the Sigma 30. I have to be honest, I'm still evaluating this lens since many of my images seem kinda soft. So I'll get out this weekend and shoot a lot of stuff under different settings and see how it does.

ya i am trying to shoot wide open though. I like the depth of field.

By a high quality ND filter if you are ending up at the max shutter speed for the camera. When I had my 1.8 lens, I used a 3 stop to get it possible to shoot, but something stronger might be more ideal.

I hope to have this lens within the next week..... had a canon 35 f2 but this thread made me change my mind

Thanks. For now you can stay, but once/if you get a 35L you are banned from this thread! :p Hope that Sig 50 treats you as well as the Sig 30 did...
