I like those ideas!

Well the event is tonight and the manager did not reply back so I'm just going to give him the same pictures I gave to my club but marked and low-res.

Trying a new setup today.. I was going to use some wireless transmitters for off flash, but when the postman came by, no one answered the door (everyone was sleeping) so the transmitters are back at the distribution centre for Monday pickup

So does anyone know any good pick-up lines??

Im a page in and don't get this.

Why are you giving him photos for free? Tell him no.
If he doesnt like it, tell your club you cant take photos there, then they will find another bar to go to and he will miss out. Let him know is politely as well.

You are a paying customer, you dont have to give him squat. Worried about cameras? I wounder if he will chase everyone who has a mobile device.

I agree, auit working for free.

The owner doesn't have rights for the photos but he is granting you access and possibly under the belief that he is offering access for payment in photos. I'd make this really clear before accepting the position. How much do you want to cover this event will decide how little to no money it's worth.

You could also only give him 'some' of the pictures, maybe take out the best ones you want on your portfolio or you think they're so good they would make a ton of money off it, and do a batch rename on the folder so it looks like none are missing.

I probably will not be selling any of the photos (I'm not good enough, yet!), but I will use them in my portfolio.

If they're not good enough to sell, they're not good enough for the portfolio.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

^^ Good point.

The other advantage here is that the club owner has absolutely no idea what you have on the card.

And what you put on a disk.

By the way, I would like an Audi R8.

I won't get one, but I would like one.

I believe that the laws are different in Canada than in the USA.

First, are you in anyway being compensated by the club owner?

Second, please seek out local counsel.

I have Canon gear. SX1 IS, two 7D bodies and mostly f/2.8 lenses 10mm-200mm, doubler, and 17/4 TSE, some 580EX IIs. Additional portable lighting gear, and tripod with 360 pano mount. Want two 7D II bodies.
