Thanks S.R.M and victorelessar!
ceriltheblade, awesome that you found a copy!
To answer your question - yes! I haven't used a reversed 50 attached to a 100 + ETs, but I know that the 100 + ETs will get you close enough for the big snowflakes (8mm in diameter or so) to fill the frame on your 7D. Definitely worth a shot, nothing to lose! Just be careful with that setup outside when the snow is falling, I don't want any harm to come to your 50mm in harsh weather.
Thanks. I am bringing almost my whole kit on my ski vacation, so I will have some time to at least try. I am not sure of the weather forecast, but usually there are some small snowfalls if not an outright snow storm when we go skiing (alps). If harm comes to my 50 1.8, it may give me justification to check out the 50 1.4! (shhhh! don't tell my wife!)
Anyway, thanks for the heads up and I enjoyed the article. I will try to come close to your shots, though I highly doubt I'll make it especially with your beautiful stacking jobs! But the fun is in the trying and learning, right?!
Have a great day and if i come within a country mile of what you did I may even post! Thanks for the inspiration!
