Thanks -- I like that one the best as well. I'm on the fence on all of them really -- they are decent moments and pretty representative of life here, but maybe not so unique. Shinjuku, where #2 was taken, screams for cinematic photography. It is the epitome of Tokyo. I remember walking around on a Tuesday night and it being very lively well after last train -- that capture was just the opposite side of a very large station.

i would love to visit tokyo - just a suggestion & sorry if im telling you to suck eggs - now you have the kind of general feel nailed perhaps try and identify some unique subjects and 'cinemafy' those ...

Not at all -- I appreciate the feedback. I like the photos... but even #3 was me testing manual focus. Just got a 5d2 and while ISO rocks, auto focus leaves a bit to be desired. :)

Tokyo is nuts. You ALWAYS need a camera here. If not shooting, then one in your pocket for some random weirdness to happen. It is guaranteed to happen several times a week. Such a bizarre place to call home.

I should start a thread giving street photography tours. It's pretty easy to find good spots though.

Haha -- Anytime!
I even know where all the English pubs are if you need a taste of home... although most of my English friends complain you can't get proper bangers (etc) here. :D
