Here's a little stray I took in that showed up at work. Looks like a mini german shepard.

I like all the dog shots. I would like to post one of mine, but don't know how. What do I need to do to get it to show up here? Thanks

You need to upload it on an image hosting site. Then copy the link address, click on the little mountain postcard looking icon on the quick reply box on here and paste the link address into the pop up box which appears.

Kat, my dog, wasn't too happy about me experimenting on her with my 5d2 and an old Nikon prime.

Apollo. Swiss Mountain Dog mix that we adopted on Mother's Day last year. He fits in so perfectly, it's hard to believe that we haven't had him forever.

Ya know Swinette.. you may have found a Entlebucher Mountain Dog. .. take a look at this recent article: http://www.examiner.com …gs-picture#slide=42623716 (external link)
At a recent dog show, two women with Entlebuchers came by our booth. They're like a smaller shorter coated version of the Burnese Mountain Dogs. It was really interesting. I forgot to ask if they were related though.

On the 'natural light topic - I took a few shots as I played with our GSD yesterday just before sunset.

She loves her Chewber (the only toy she hasn't been able to destroy .. for two years)

Then.. since I loved that Whippet black on black shot, I thought I'd try that style with Ellie. (but it wasn't a nice soft light like the Whippet shot) .. this was sunlight.

Yes, the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Burnese, Appenzeller & Entlebucher are all part of the Swiss Mountain Dog family. Due to Apollo's size, we are fairly certain that he's part Swissy. He's 80-some pounds at two years. I believe that they are not fully mature until around 3 years, so he may still grow more.
