Haven't shot in awhile but recently took a trip to do some skiing and brought my camera along.

Unfortunately I won't be shooting for awhile again until I get my 7D replaced. Waiting on insurance right now. Doesn't work quite as well after it gets run over by a truck. (left it on the roof of the car and it didn't stay on for the ride home. DOH!)

I don't think the 7D is broken, looks like the back of the 100-400

Steve,

Great shot. Which flash was used? The 7D on-board or one of your 580/430 externals?

7D is toast too. Magnesium body is broken (pushed in) above the mount and the 70-200 mount is stuck on it right now. Haven't gotten it to turn on yet either, need to get the lens mount off before I try again.

Did it actually get hit by a car, or did it just fall off the roof? Iv been wondering is it possible to get insurance from a provider for just my equipment without being charged an arm and a leg? Its all currently under warranty (except for some cheap lenses) but dont want it to get stolen/shattered right after warranty runs out.
