That being said...............

The retired Nifty was getting a little antsy sitting on a shelf, and wanted to see a little more action.
He jumped into a box, and made his way to my doorstep last night.

So this morning, we went out to see what we could see. And what did we see? A picket of Kaiser Hospitals.

Note: Please don't take this for my stance on either side of the picket line.

Apparently they are expecting quite a few more people to show up after lunch.

FOUR PAGES AND THREE WEEKS IS FAR TOO LONG FOR THIS THREAD TO HAVE GONE WITHOUT IMAGES!!!!

If you have a Nifty lens from this thread, PLEASE post your images and send the lens on.

Agreed. Way to stay on top of it, Killjoy!

Hey Kill.. I once had Kaiser ;)

Nice people/photojournalism shots, looks like a couple of photo-takers in the bunch :)

How is Grampa Original_Nifty doing? I'm sure that Nifty is happy to be out of that box!!

Thanks Joayne. Grampa is having some aches and pains from being cooped up a little too long in that box.
Having some issues with the focus. But that's why he's retired in the first place. ;)

The other shooters in the bunch were actually walking the picket line. Taking images for their own gratification and perhaps to show the union reps that people actually showed up.

Might be able to work something out if you have a stateside mailing address.. .. ..

photorider wrote in post #13761813 (external link)
I can make that happen... I think.

I have a US address in Blaine that could be used. It's where the original Adorama Nifty first arrived. PM me for the address, it's 2 bucks to use the service.

Thanks for the offer -g- but we are heading from the Calgary area to somewhere around Newport Oregon. Blaine will be to far out of the way. I am sure we will be able to figure something out.

Whomever gives it to me, it can wait til the beginning of March. I'll deploy, get some stellar shots being underway and maybe a port visit. ;) Then I'll mail it off from there before I leave so it stands a better chance of getting somewhere. 'Cause underway mail will take a l0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0ong time.

I'm going to be moving nifty on this weekend. I have some pictures from around campus, but didn't get around to sorting them out yet. I'll post them this weekend. School has been busy already!
