If you watch this link, it's about a product that repels water off of anything. They use an iphone underwater with no case, and they tell you a little about how it works. The device is put in a vacuum chamber, where the product is pumped in and coats the inside electronics:

My question, is could we do that to a camera? A film camera no doubt, but this would likely cause an enormous drop in IQ from a digital sensor. Do you think we could block sensors from receiving the coating before we process a camera? This would be an excellent service to send a camera in to if so, God knows how nervous I get shooting around water!
