Aww, he is lovely x

Thank you, Claire. When I adopted her in 2004 they told me she was almost four months old and a lab/chow mix. She was 15 pounds. Got her to the vet and she was nine weeks old and had double dewclaws on her hind legs. Vet told me those were most common in Great Pyrenees and St Bernards. So... instead of a 45-pound-ish dog when she grew up, I ended up with a seventy-pound dog. Thank goodness she isn't any bigger I guess?

I love her tho - named her Merri Grayce because I adopted her at Christmas (was the Merri) and when she ran out to be picked up she ran head-first into the desk at the office (the "grayce"). ;)

Well. If we're posting our pets, meet Skeeter.

Lovely picture! I'll have to try better pet photography when my backgrounds get here. Maybe Merri will mind... usually I can't even get the people in my life to sit still and let me take their picture more than two or three clicks... :(

Since we just finished dinner here and all... took this of a sign at the local Casey's advertising last month's special...

I haven't been to St. Louis yet, unless you count driving through it to get farther east. We spend our vacations in the Ozarks because they remind me so much of "home." I grew up on 116 acres of managed timber in rural Pennsylvania.... :)

I'll have to add it to my list! Hopefully this year maybe we'll have a little more vacation time.

Well in that case, you should also plan to spend a day at the zoo. LOL. But if butterflies are what you're after, they have some cool ones at the Butterfly House. There's also Grant's Farm - where they raise the Budweiser Clydesdales and have a petting zoo...

Oh and there's a botanical garden that I haven't been to yet.

There's Powell Gardens here and I think there's a butterfly place somewhere.

I'm only ten or twenty minutes from Powell Gardens, and about an hour from KC.

not the sharpest, but it's a 50% crop or so with my 28-135 kit lens. the eye is almost there.

also, flea markets make a great place to get some candids.
