My thoughts...

It looks like he has some pretty awesome skin tone so I would have kept the colors there to highlight that. The red of the heart is another thing I'd want to pop since it's part of the shoot being Valentine's day.

The chair takes something away from the subject because of it either being so dark or sharper than the rest. Either a more shallow depth of field, lighting that was focused on your subject or a different chair would have been my choice.

I like the softness of the shot, I think sharpness is overused a lot in portraits and it sometimes kills the feeling for me. For a romantic, cuddly Valentine's theme I think soft works.
