How would you edit this image? (Printing a 20x30 canvas!)

I'm going to get this printed on a 20x30 canvas as a gift so I'd like to make it look as nice as possible.

I've been messing around with it for a while and this is the best I could come up with...I feel it could be so much better!

The edited image is displayed. If anyone would like to take a quick stab at it, let me know and I'll send you the RAW file!

I'm loving what I see. I dont know what it would print like on canvas. Sorry I cant help; just couldnt help saying how much I like the image.

Based on what I've seen of canvases, I wouldn't call this image a solid candidate.

Canvas tends to soften detail and it's usually printed at a fairly low resolution. You've got a ton of small details, pinpoints of light and other goodies right down to street-level.

If it were mine, I'd investigate high-res / high-gloss prints or even a metallic. I think these two possibilities would serve your image better and preserve the feeling of looking out a high window on a cold, dark night. You could go bigger than 20x30 and putting this on a wall would make people think you've got a killer view out a window.

This. This is NOT a good candidate for canvas. You may not like the results, and with the cost of a 20x30, it may be an expensive lesson.

what types or pictures ARE good for canvas?

are there any sites you know of that you can upload to, print, pick a frame, and have the combo shipped? this is a gift for someone in chicago (obviously!)

okay, so do you guys suggest i get this printed on high gloss paper?

i really only have the choices between matte and high gloss.

i'm just going to get it printed 20x30, stick it in carry on, and get the frame this weekend in chicago to complete the gift.

I've straightened up the sloping verticals and lost as much of the dead sky as I felt comfortable doing, as well as a little off the RHS which was doing nothing. I then increased the colour saturation a little.

I agree that this is crying out for a gloss paper that will show off the high resolution detail that canvas would just lose.
