I had no idea Leica lenses were adaptable to EF. That's awesome! Great work!

Thanks, Leica rangefinder lenses (M lenses) are not adaptable to EOS, but leica SLR lenses (R lenses) are adaptable via a simple adapter. Leica medium format lenses (S lenses) are probably also adaptable, but nobody has tried yet i don't think:p

hi all.. newbie just found this thread. i bought an adapter off ebay to mount my minolta lens from my SRT 101 camera to my 30D or 5D2. weirdest thing is that the photos will only come out clear if i'm 4-5 inches away from the subject. if i try to take a normal picture, no matter how i focused it wouldn't work. sigh...

as far as i know minolta lenses aren't fully adaptable to EOS system. You probably lose the infinity focus, that's what you're experiencing?

yup... i did lose infinity focus......grrrr

but as i browsed through the thread here, i noticed some are using minolta 58mm f1.2 Rokkor lens. but if i were to get that lens and use the adapter from ebay, wouldn't i still lose the infinity focus?

i mean, how do you use the minolta 58mm with adapter on canon camera and still get tack sharp photos if you can't focus to infinity?
