Our BX (store) on Base has a closeout sale on the S90 for $168. Yeah I know the S100 and S95 for that matter are newer but at less than half price it still seems like a deal. I'm just looking for a camera to Augment my T2i when I don't feel like lugging it around, but still have some manual options at my disposal.

Do you think it's worth getting the S90 for that price?

Great price! Go for it! Northern Italy, eh? 45 years ago I lived and worked in Italy for
a couple years. You have great scenery and art to photograph there!!!! The p&s would
be terrific to have with you at all times.

Well I went back today and bought it. Have a big trip to Norway in a few weeks so will give it a good test then. 30 day return policy if I end up not liking it (doubtful). I actually got it for $152.

@ Ken, they don't actually carry the S95 or S100. Only cheaper P&S's really, I just don't think there is a big market for more expensive models.

There were two of the S90's on the clearance shelf, one was market Display this one was not but had been opened. Regardless it looks brand new and for $152 I can easily break even on e-bay if needed.

I paid 168 for a used S90 in December and even that was considered to be a good deal...so 160 is a bargain for a new one. Glad you jumped on it

That's a tremendous deal for the S90!

My GF and I carry it along with our XS and 7D... the S90 is a terrific performer by any P&S measure and if I had the chance to buy another new at that price I probably would. :)
