Can't sell any of my gear for the prices that would have worked a month ago or prices that would work in a month, after these sales go away.

I returned the 135L. I shot with it for a day last Saturday in broad daylight using shutter speeds of over 1/1000 and I couldn't get any "tack-sharp" images at F2. In the mean time, the price of the lens has gone down another $30!

Looks like there's a lot of old stock floating around on these. I ordered one early Feb 2012 (right 2012) and I got a UY06. This was from a leading retailer who probably received a ton of orders on these with the recent discounts (and yet I get a UYxx).

Don't get me wrong....I don't care as much of the age of the lens as Ls age nicely if well cared for...just find it surprising that I should get a UY a whole 20 months after it's manufacturing date and that too from a leading high volume retailer that also presumably sold a bunch of these in the recent sales going by the postings here.

I hope to get around to test the lens for sharpness in the next few days....else it's going to Canon for calib...
