My Domke Rolling Propack 217 fully packed for travel.
However, I usually use my Domke Courier for walkaround and my Dakine Mission for boarding/hiking.

for those that are using the kata 3n1-22, can it fit a 5D2 + grip with 24-70 mounted and a 70-200L f2.8IS and 50mm stored in there, while i keep my 30D + grip on the top compartment?

also, i see that the tripod holder is sold separately. i'd like to see owners of the 3n1-22 or 20 have any DIY for tripod holder?

+1

You can go back a couple years in this thread and somewhere in here is a picture of mine. All the equipment has changed but I'm still using it. I go back and forth between it, my lowepro stealth reporter, and my national geographic medium bag, depending on how much I want to carry and how accessible it needs to be.

Here's are pics of my new backpack, the Vanguard Up-Rise 45. I sorta like backpacks more cause they strap on to you pretty securely. I like how the opening is located on the back of the backpack. It means added security I guess. It carries my 5D Mark II + lens, three additional lenses, 580EX II, pocket for filter and a compartment for miscellaneous stuff.

When I want to travel light, I usually just bring my Manfrotto Bella VI. It can fit my 5D Mark II + 2 small lenses, strap, and a flash. One of my favorite bags really. Of the L lenses I have, it would really only fit one of the L lenses. If I have the 100mm L with filter attached, I'd have to store the camera sideways because the length exceeds the height of the bag.

I use a manfrotto 3280Blk bag for my tripod. It fits the 055CXPro3 with 322RC2 joystick head mount perfectly. The bag isn't flashy and has a quarter inch padding, which makes it pretty ideal for stuffing into the backpack when I'm carrying the tripod around. It's thick enough so that the bumps wouldn't dent your tripod, and thin enough where its easily put away.

For those of you who like to look fashionable take a look at these "Incase" DSLR backpacks. I might have to pick one of these up.
