As of yesterday, my oldest daughter is officially a teenager. I'm sure I've shared more photos of her than any of my other children...she is definitely my muse and always have been. I love shooting her, and she enjoys the pictures we get (and the 1 on 1 time).

I'm sure everyone is sick of my snow princess type shoots now and wishing spring would get here already, but I couldn't resist. It doesn't snow here often, but it did quite a bit yesterday. And then today was a glorious sunny day...I couldn't help myself! I'm doing a more fun, almost senior style shoot with Calista and 2 of her girlfriends this weekend, so this was my time to do what I love...more serious, almost fantasy type work. Coincidentally, 13 has always been my 'age' she was allowed to begin wearing light makeup...so she has a little bit on for these pictures. What girl doesn't love that? She's growing up y'all!

I am pretty certain this is my favorite that we got today. I know you all have seen this dress before, but I love it all over again every time I use it. In addition to wearing her great-grandma's dress, she's wearing another great-grandma's earrings in these. So they are meaningful to me. I love both the color and the b&w, so what the heck, I'm posting both!

I used my 'anti-reflector' in these. Yes, that's my cutesy name for it. It's actually my big black piece of fleece that I use for newborns. I had my hubby hold it up near her face camera right to create some shadowing in what is otherwise a big white box of bouncing, even light.

And a bit of yummy backlighting...

Thanks for taking a look, and stay tuned for her 'fun' shoot with her girlfriends this weekend.

I do not think anyone is getting fed up with seeing these :) Another out standing set but for me number 2 is the best. I love the b/w treatment you have given it. I also agree with the others those eyes are just stunning.

The wife says I never listen or something like that.

Wow, amazed how good these are, great work. What did you use on the equipment side?
Did you use the 85mmL on all? Natural light + the "anti" reflector?
