He lives not to far from me. I have seen him catch poisons snakes, turtles and wild ratcoons by hand... That dude is CRAZY!!!!!!

Definitely a common snapping turtle. I've caught plenty- just get them by the tail, and don't hold them too close to your body! Good form... :D
