The fact that you had to ask me what that was is a welcome comment. I thought that the color version was a little bit too gross and in-your-face, but converting it to black and white seemed to abstract the guts a little bit and make the picture more about shape and form and light (as opposed to content).

Anyway, just an experiment in shooing something vile and nasty and trying to make it look good. I am a strong believer that there's nothing that shouln't be photographed, that anything can make for a oood image, provided that it is shot right. I don't think this quite works, but the reactions from the people I've shown it to have mostly been positive. So I think I'm going in the right direction.
