Just picked up a used 60D last week. Have not had much time to use it much, but it is a nice upgrade from the XSi.

Have you tried upsizing the XSi to match the 60D's 18 MP or scaling down the 60D to match the XSi's resolution?

I'm considering an upgrade but at the moment one is not necessary, so I'm debating whether to wait or just get the 60D now. To be honest the only feature I'm looking for now is ISO3200 (more focus points, faster frame rate, and all the other features of the 60D are rather unimportant to me), but cleaner high ISO and more dynamic range especially would be part of the decision if I were to upgrade. At the moment, I'm not convinced that the 60D or any of its 18 MP cousins offer enough of an IQ difference to matter much, certainly not scaled down to 12 MP anyhow. The dynamic range as measured doesn't seem to be an improvement on any current Canon APS-C body.

Well its a start, not very happy with all the outcomes or the performance of the 100-400L I was using...seems very very soft. But here's what I liked I guess:

Drew. the 100-400 probably isnt soft, you just arent used to its slower focus than the other lenses you have. Its OLD.

Sure, post away, just tell it when it does not come from the 60D.

By popular request (yes David is popular) but not show with a 60D. I can only aspire to capture images as good as you 60D guys (with my inferior gear).

Dimitri, I don't know the answer to either question...I actually live over in the Dallas area and was just in FW for the day. I don't recall seeing either but that doesn't mean they aren't still there. I do know that both have locations around the DFW metroplex.

Todd, first my apologies for misspelling your nickname.

I had spent three months in ft worth in 1996 working for Motorola, I really enjoyed staying there, the place was becoming rapidly gentrified and there were many nice places to go. We even had a nice time at the stockyards.

Kind regards,
Dimitri
