More of a snapshot but I liked how it turned out.

I like it! I think it's more than a snap shot! A little adjusting to the color would make it much better in my opinion.

CHEEKS!

Edit: cute pic, but the white balance is too blue. Is that supposed to be a white carpet? If so, try making that the whitepoint in lighroom or photoshop.

I agree, it needed a little color adjustment... I was just being lazy.

A second shot focusing on the dogs eyes might have been interesting too. He looks aware, but content. Cute moment captured!!

There is something about this shot that just makes me want to cry.
The baby is content to be resting against her big, warm buddy.......and the pooch is happy to let her do it (her expression tells me though that she knows how important her job is).

Those cheeks alone make any shot you get a gem IMO. Simply scrumptious!

P.S. Great shot! Nice adjustment with the color :)

I would make it an 8x10 crop and crop out the table leg on the right and fix the light reflection in the lower right. I would probably make it a black and white image since I usually do black and white but that it up to you. I did an edit but you don't have image editing okay set so I won't post it. I will say that it looks a lot better without the table leg in the image and it looks good in black and white.

Thanks for the suggestions... fixing the glare on the hardwood floor is a good idea. Cropping out the table leg helps but at the same time its sorta of distracting to me to cut off Maddie's paw, but it works.

I tried the black and white but I don't think it really works for me for this one, I think the pink color of Abby's outfit really makes the picture. But either way, here's a black and white version to see what you think.

Personally I like the black and white. In my edit I gave it a very slight blue tint, I only went as high as 3 on the tint. I also have no wood in the foreground since I used your original. The images you posted are much better with the table leg cropped out. To me the pink draws too much attention to the face, but I do like the pink. I just prefer black and white most of the time. Any way you go with this, you have a great shot, it's a nice memory.
