Currently have the older XSi model and debating about upgrading and purchasing the T3i body.
I don't want to get the T3i only to find the newer model is released a month or two later.
Any idea when the next release is due?

The T4i will likely either re-use the same sensor (AGAIN) or have a much higher price (seems to be the canon trend) or both. Other features are non-value added to me. One reason to wait would be for the price of the T3i to go down Nikon D7000, Nikon D3100 18-105mm VR, 35mm f/1.8, 50mm f/1.4, 70-300mm VR

T4i was talked about on Canon Rumors. it is coming very shortly. I would at least wait to see what the specs are before getting the T3i. 7D l Canon 70-200 f/4L IS l Canon 85mm f/1.8 l ∑ 17-50 f/2.8 l Canon 50mm f/1.8 II l S95

If you had an XS or XT maybe. ISO gotten better and AF than those older basic models but still very solid cameras all around. An upgrade would be leaving that Rebel title IMO. Other than that, you're just changing cameras for a few more bells and...bells since whistles would imply there's more to the upgrade. Last Shot Photography

Does that mean upgrading from an XSi to a T3i wouldn't be worth it? How can we even guess unless we know more about your situation? If we knew features you liked in the T3i over your XSi, then we'd have something to go on. Nikon D7000, Nikon D3100 18-105mm VR, 35mm f/1.8, 50mm f/1.4, 70-300mm VR
