Yeah, forgot to ask about that in prev. post, what is the affected range of serial numbers? Havent got it from any of them, but have asked both in the previous email i sent.

The company that replaced the mirror and shutter on #2 is the official workshop doing all the work for Canon here in Norway, so they are trustworthy. Camera was purchased in 2007.

Seller #1 appears to be original owner, yes. The camera is two years old, and by law here in Norway there is 5 years of warranty from purchase date, so theres still 3 years of warranty left on the camera.

Either way, both of these seems to be a fair deal, right?

serial number on the bottom of the camera is between 501001 and 546561

Man, mandatory 5 year warranty?

Per KEH : Camera bodies that fall within the serial numbers 501001 and 546561 may be effected

Yep! All consumer electronics have a 5-year warranty against non-user made defects. Pretty handy, this covers both cell phones, computers, cameras, TVs, etc...

Think ill be going for #1 now, the seller is going to check the serial number later today. Feeling more comfortable with a camera that i know the full history of. He also claimed that there is minimal, if any, dust on the sensor, which is great. The ad claims that the camera is "mint", so I guess its in pretty good shape. Also, 9K exposures on this camera is nothing!

If all goes well, maybe i can start posting my pics here soon :)

Woww, makes me want it even more!!! Will have to wait a bit though.

Not related to my 1D Mk III directly butt, I did give it a new bed today! It now has a ThinkTank Streetwalker HD to sleep in every night. Such a nice camera bag!

from $1700-$2200 is what i have been seeing. I got mine at the higher end of that range. There were a number of reasons for it though, but i am quite happy!

Jay, what does it take for an average guy to get some shots at an airport? Besides having a long enough lens to shoot from a mile away. Haha

Like obviously I can't just chill on the tarmac but are there certain days or places to shoot? Is there a good site with all the info?

I want to shoot some airplanes to see how i like it.
