Zach & Cara (college couple)

Got the chance to shoot with my new 5D and 200 2.8 before I sold them today. I had gotten the lens and body not too long ago and wanted to actually use them before I ended up selling them, so I asked my friend if he'd be willing to do an engagement style shoot with his girlfriend. They agreed, so we went off to a field near by and did this. Had trouble with the DOF, shooting two people at 1.8 is difficult, and I didn't think to myself about stopping down. The lighting was also very hard up until we had the sun start to set.

very nice, 2 and 5 are my favorites

The shady faces are not working to me. Maybe a little flash could remove the shadows and increase the quality. The silhouettes are very nice.

That first silohuette is stunning. Not a fan of the cropping on the second silohuette, but that first one is killer.

1. the wooden panel on top attracts a bit too much attention. Her smile looks a bit forced. too much empty space on the right
2. very nice one, beautiful smiles and nice light
3 & 4. lack contrast, making faces a bit too flat. A bit of PP would improve them.
5. is simply stunning
6. looks nice but the pose is less powerful than the other one.

They look like they were fun to photograph, I agree that the shadows and low light bother me.....
