i can only recommend you one lens, and not even I will mention it. i cant even mention it without throwing up.

Get a bigger budget.

But congrats on the 2Ti.

Honestly though, your best bet is to save for the 55-250mm IS. Its a very good lens.

55-250 IS is what you want to go for. Might need to save a little for it and/or wait until it is on sale.

Do yourself a favor and save more for your budget. Spending the $100 on a poor lens will lead you to regret and disappointment. Save for the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS (external link).

And do yourself a really big favor and purchase this book: Understanding Exposure (external link)

Save another $50-60 and you should be able to find the 55-250mm IS on your local Craigslist.

Reps, please. ;)

All the advice here is spot on. It will be worth the wait and expense to get the right lens, and not settle for duds.

Another vote for what everyone is saying. 55-250 can't be beat for price/performance with your budget.

Yup, save more for a 55-250. Your $100 is realistically only going to get you a used Canon 75-300, arguably one of the worst lenses they ever made.

Just a few more $$ and they're right - craigslist is your friend. I got a 55-250 on CL for $125.
