Ditto on the Twitter suggestion. I tweeted once. Got a response the next day that the education verification (daughter's ID card) was approved; I purchased the Master Collection - boxed version. However, I'm still waiting on my account to be charged, so I'm not totally convinced.

Is it just a plain envelope or does it look more like a retail version?

I got a response to my 2nd tweet within 5 minutes I think that referred to it. My guess is since it was tweeted so late it got lost with the other over night posts. :)

I wonder how many software packages they ended up selling, and how much they made on this.

It probably would not be dumb of them to sell a download only copy of photoshop right before they release a new edition, for like $100. but with limitations like no future upgrades and maybe 2 versions old. Like selling v4 before v6 comes out. That way they would get additional sales and shouldn't cut into regular sales. :)

Arghhh. Finally received an email from adobe asking for verification of eligibility. I had ordered late Wednesday but the identi-e site was acting buggy because of all the orders so I emailed the documents to the edu.verify email. Now they're asking me to send to identit-e. It's been a week, looks like it'll be a few more days...

Oh well - for $100 I can wait!

Very much the retail version -- box and all. It came looking exactly like in this photo (external link) on Amazon.

Finally got my education status verified, now just waiting for Adobe to acknowledge it and ship me my box! It's been a week since I ordered but glad to see that I will end up with the product in the end.

Did anyone that was qualified for the order actually have their orders canceled, even though Adobe said they would be honoring all verified orders?

God I despise adobe continually excluding those people out of the USA.
