Nope, never! The closest I get to monochrome is when I reduce the saturation by 80~90% and warm up the high tones. Gives a great sepia feel.

I also much prefer sepia - can add character to a shot

Thanks guyz. If FF will never make an articulated screen I'll stick to crop sensor and will lean towards investing more on L lenses. I'm am hoping for a DIGIC 5 on the next xxD and put back MF adjustment. Better High ISO performance then I'll upgrade.

I read the Digic 5 in the 5D III is 17X faster than the Digic 4.

No, just cropped and sharpened. These are originals:

Can you return both of them or are you looking to sell them?

Regardless, keep the 60D, there are so many major and subtle advantages over the T3i...

So, does anyone else think it is REALLY odd that the 5D3 has no flash (which none of them have had, just like the 1D), and no AF assist lamp, and the new wireless transmitter doesn't have an AF assist on it either? Either that focus sensor is just insanely senstive, or you are going to have to put on a full blown flash gun to get any kind of AF assist with a 5D.

I wish Canon just sold a dedicated AF assist lamp that you could slide into the hotshoe.

I think the closest your gonna get to that is a ST-E2?

That is the Digic 5+, note the plus.

I don't think the plus will make it down to the XXD level, it will be the same standard digic 5 that is in the S100 etc. It will be faster for sure, although a lot of the power is used to reduce jpeg noise, so if you are a RAW shooter it might not help you much at all.

Now, if they bring the 7D focusing down to the XXD and upgrade the 7D with something like that 61 point, then we we have a much more interesting situation.
