that the price of a nice, low mileage 5D MKII dropped overnight by at least $200?

as predicted....LOL..and with the notice that the 5D MKII is going to stay in production at least for a while with a lower price you can expect to get some GREAT bargains on used 5D MKII bodies!!!

Sorry for those of you who waited to sell, but great news for those of us who want another body or two and were patient!

:-D:-D:-D

I'm waiting for 5D MKI to drop further so I can pick one up as a 2nd body to my 5D2. I'm seeing them for less then $800 now. Maybe if I wait a little longer, I can get them for less then $700. :D

They're already being listed for $1700 or less so I'd expect that after a few weeks we'll be able to pick one up for $1400 or so. There are soooo many out there and soooo many people going to sell to get the new toy that the market will be flooded...add in the dropping price of a new 5D2 and it's a recipe for a great deal for us!!!

If these 5D IIs prices go as low as $1500, I'm pretty sure that you guys might see me hold 3-4 cameras at some wedding and sports photo session lol

Best,
MC

I'm I the only one that is saving pennies for a 5Dmk3? I love my 5dmk2, but the AF leaves me wanting more. Specially after shooting a 7D. I was planning on getting a 7D as a second body, but with the specs of the 5dmk3 being everything I want, and nothing I don't. I rather get that.
That said I will first buy the 70-200mm IS II and then the 5dmk3.

but I do like my 5dmk2, so I will just keep it as a beater/ second body.

Body: 5D MK II
Glass: Canon 24-105mm L f/4, Tokina 16-28mm f/2.8, Sigma 50mm f/1.4, Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro
Lights: 430EX II, YN 560, AB800

I'm sure prices will pick up a little once the 5DIII is out. That usually happens with camera bodies pre/post release.

That was only because of the Rebate given by Canon.

I've been thinking of switching to a 5d3, then I realized I like magic lantern :)
that gives me reason to wait!

I picked up a new 5DII, last month, for $1250 and have no intention of upgrading to the III.
