I didn't realize squirrels were carnivorous until I zoomed in on this shot a bit and notice he was eating a bug of some sort.

I usually have four types of squirrels in my garden.
Following llast years very cold winter near the end, and heavy snow that remained tall up to mid spring, the number of our Grey squirrels, (also ground squirrels) that by far were the dominant type has significantly decline to the extend that I do not see them any more. Not sure if it was length of remaining tall snow on the ground that did not allow them to survive or some sort of disease associated with that cold winter. Anyhow spotting the gliding squires that are nocturnal are rather difficult then they remain out of focus most of time even if I am lucky to catch them on the camera. So my best friend for now is the growing population of the Chipmunks. This guy is my close friend and loves sunflower seeds.
