It was quite interesting place, my wife and I had wanted to visit for a while now and had the opportunity to do so on this latest trip. Visiting our future daughter's in-laws, wedding this August...and another one in September...ouch!!!

thanks..yeah a little in LR3..i just got this camera to compliment my 7D..my first time shooting with it..i'm really amazed so far..the only thing that sucks is the battery..i had it fully charged yesterday and played around with it a little bit around the house...then took it out this morning..shot about 20-30 pics and maybe 1-2 videos (2min.) then the battery died out on me :(
i wish there was a way to shoot RAW when using the fisheye,miniture,etc...effect...

Agreed on the battery...I've never owned a camera where I had to worry about the battery dying on me...until the S100. I ordered 5 cheapo batteries off eBay, so I usually have one in the camera, two in the bag...

Do you have GPS enabled? That might have something to do with it. I have GPS turned off (a shame, because I was really looking forward to that feature), and I can get close to 200 pics (no vids) out of it on a charge...probably around 150-ish, I don't know, something like that. And that's with a LOT of chimping (since it's still a new camera, I'm constantly pixel peeping haha).

i have the GPS turned off..i do have the brightness for the screen all the way up..maybe that kills some of the battery? but i know what you mean about chimping..thats all i kept doing when i shot around the house...i just got it friday and today was the first time i took it out...i was surprised to get under 50 shots out of a full charge...

Yeah, that's bad...plus it does this annoying Canon thing that if you're taking vids with anything other than a 100% full battery, it'll flash the red warning :p

Charge it a few times and see if that helps...I really gotta start keeping track of how many pics/vids I get out of a charge...I think my record is 187 haha.

And yeah, a bright screen will definitely kill your battery faster...I have mine set on roughly 1/2 brightness and have never had an issue with it, the current generation of Canon LCDs are very good.

The first one shows me goofing around with my buddy's face and the fish eye effect.
The rest of them are taken from my recent travels and playing with tone mapping
of a single hand-held JPG image (no bracketing).
