Here are all the photos pulled from that video: http://www.digitalrev.com …k-iii-hands/MTA3ODU3MjU_A (external link)

All the shots here here:

The ones of the most importance to me, are these three. The 25600 5D3 looks damn near the same as the 5D2 at 6400. I realize a little detail is lost, but image what that shot would look like in Raw, with your own NR done to it.. Crazy good. I only wish there was a D800 there, so they could have taken some shots with it to compare. I guess we get that kind of thing next month, when both are out.

Is it me or do these look slightly OOF?

No doubting the noise control though.

I don't think it's OOF, i just think the JPeg NR is very aggressive. When people can start processing the raw files, and applying it themselves, these shots will look a LOT better.

There's some pretty aggressive NR going on in both cameras at those ISOs. 25600 is pushed ISO on the mk ii, so you really can't compare it to a native ISO.

And by the way, you absolutely can :) To a photographer, the underlying technology is unimportant. They just want to know what it will do at an ISO. Why it does what it does, doesn't matter.

For sure, this is going to be one camera to have. I have been waiting seven years for this.

Always puzzles me why they end up releasing snapshot quality images.
