Man, you guys are killing me!! I don't know what came over me but I found my-self purchasing this lens today (anyone want to buy an excellent copy of the C/Y Zeiss 28mm f2.8?). I hope it arrives this week and if I love it half as much as my 50 Makro Planar it is going to be a beautiful thing!!

Hey guys, this might be a silly quetion, but I'm considering buying this lens as opposed to the Canon 24LLII. I like to shoot landscape mostly but I do like to shoot some portraits of my gf. Do you guys find this lens usalbe for half-body portraits? I know it is only MF.

Love the mood in this. Has a great sense of the depths beyond.

I had the same question few month ago, but when I tried the Zeiss lens, my choice was done...

A test shot for a star trail. The Zeiss 21 is perfect for night photography, the stars are tack sharp (even in the corners).

I'm sure your GF will love the effect.....if you show suitable restraint!

Be warned though, this lens, like all really good glass, seems to be somewhat addictive, so you may end up going where angels fear to tread, portrait-wise I mean!

Shot of Cabo San Lucas Sunrise. Disney Cruise ship on the horizon. Had to get very wet and hike over many rocks in the dark to get to my location. Had fun until I realized the tide was coming in and I had to hurry to get out. LOL.

Hitech 3 stop Reverse ND. F16 @ 3.2 seconds.
