So, Lightroom 4 eh? Apologies if it's been mentioned already but it might be next to a spider!

Seems a cheaper price but I might wait for Adobe Creative Cloud and pick it up "free" with that.

 WHOA!

There was me wondering: "hmm seven pages to read, I wonder if it's safe?"

If you're still wondering things like that, you don't know the folks here at all! :)

Morning folks ... just checking in ... seems the forum is unblocked again at work so I might actually be able to catch up this morning on what's been going on! Am home safe and sound ... no injuries to me although the camera did take a bit of a battering - and the opteka mount got broken ... I'll have to edit the video so I can show you what happened ... it was fun whilst it lasted!

What have I missed?? :)

I've had a couple of requests to publish my photos recently through Flickr of all things. Here is the email exchange from the latest.

My reply:

Her response:

And finally, my reply:

Just what I need. She's going to publicise to the world that I work for free :) Don't think so.

:D Nice exchanges there JD! :D

Not sure, I have used the Beta a few times...I can't quite get used to not having the sliders named Blacks/Fill/Exposure/Recovery...and the Beta runs quite slowly...

Sunset is at 1753 so about 1630-1700 so we can have a scout round things to " paint " and catch the light at the end of the day. There are lots of rusting things about as well as the boats which should look good when painted.

Sorry Dom, as I suspected, a work trip has come up so I won't be around on Saturday evening. Hopefully Wayne is still up for it.

I'm here now - not allowed to stay up late like you lot :p

Wayne - sounds like a nasty you got there mate and tbh, not easy to remove. Why don't you drop it round on your way to work and I'll take a look at it (just need the main unit, not monitor, keyboard or mouse)?

This is always the best solution. :)

It does seem like a meanie.

I woukd take the drive out and scan it with another machine or if i had a current back up this would be a good time for the ckean install of windows reset.

I strongly recomwnd using the two programs i linked to once your up and running. Depending on how you surf avg is not good enough sometimes.

I use xbmc to play all my media around the house, if you jailbreak you can have it on you i device also. It is awesome and will play and stream without requiring any conversion of files.

I have installed lightroom 4, I skipped the beta. It is snappier and is faster that it previous version for me it is a nice evolution and with the addition of rgb curves and other bits and pieces there is more control of the image.

Buy Buy Buy. Or not. :)

But you all will just like iPads *maniacal laugh*

Layout looks good Matt

No problem Jon maybe another time, though if the weather carries on like it is I might be giving it a miss as well will this rain ever stop?

Mat looks good to me crisp and bright.

It wasn't on the life in the UK test ;)

I do know what you call them over here, but I maintain that they are in fact bugs, not birds. Whether or not they're actually ladies remains to be seen :)

these are excellent shots that get the whole lifestyle thing...
just one small suggestion - take care with visible wires and cables, in this case under the tv cabinet (and is that a trash can under the open door).
