Not really. There's still a couple places selling the body only for 1999.99 new. Selling the lens for $800-850 is a stretch.

I thought about that but after considering eBay fees, paypal fees, shipping cost + insurance etc... I decided that it was not worth all the trouble. Don't use ebay..simple solution. ebay sucks for sellers. Cameras and lenses...

AMEN! I stopped using ebay for the same reason, after the stupid decisions to increase the fees a lot of sellers jumped off. There is kijiji , craigslist etc. depending where you live. I"ve been more successful and more profitable since I stopped using fleabay for selling. Occasionally, I sell something weird there...but thats all. Cameras and lenses...

I'd sell stuff worth $600+, and they'd hold the money every time for weeks despite a 100% feedback rating. I'd rather lose $100 on a sale via Craigslist than deal with all the Ebay baloney as a seller. I've been pleasantly surprised that my CL listings are bringing more than the average completed auctions on fleabay. There is something about being able to touch and hold the item you're buying prior to paying for it. Cameras and lenses...
