Well you could sell the lens and still get away with paying less than buying 5D2 body only.

Not really. There's still a couple places selling the body only for 1999.99 new. Selling the lens for $800-850 is a stretch.

Not in Canada, new one from the store is $1469 http://www.vistek.ca …m-f40l-usm-zoom-lens.aspx

But for the difference of $100 I would rather buy body only for $1999 rather than buy a package and sell the lens.

i noticed few guys got 5 of these kits. I bet they were planning on selling body and lens separably.

I thought about that but after considering eBay fees, paypal fees, shipping cost + insurance etc...
I decided that it was not worth all the trouble.

Don't use ebay..simple solution. ebay sucks for sellers.

AMEN! I stopped using ebay for the same reason, after the stupid decisions to increase the fees a lot of sellers jumped off. There is kijiji , craigslist etc. depending where you live.

I"ve been more successful and more profitable since I stopped using fleabay for selling. Occasionally, I sell something weird there...but thats all.

I think i'm gonna have to agree with you guys on this one.

eBay is now even charging for shipping cost!!!

Recently sold a Mint 7D and other accessories for $1300 + $15 shiping, the listing fee was $1.40 but later got the real bill $100 from the ending fee which includes the shipping cost. Also eBay's Paypal took $38 from final fee $1315

Actual shipping cost me $14 something and being that i'm a nice guy I added $1300 insurance costing me about $25.

At the end, it just left a bad taste....

hmmmm i guess i'll look for better ways to sell through than eBay, not too sure about Craigslist....hmmm


Hows the POTN classified section? have you guys had an experience? Advice, Tips, what to look out for etc...

Yeah I haven't used Ebay in a long time. I'd sell stuff worth $600+, and they'd hold the money every time for weeks despite a 100% feedback rating. Screw that.

I'd rather lose $100 on a sale via Craigslist than deal with all the Ebay baloney as a seller.

I've been pleasantly surprised that my CL listings are bringing more than the average completed auctions on fleabay. There is something about being able to touch and hold the item you're buying prior to paying for it.
