We shot it a couple hrs later with some help from a smoke machine and 3 lights.

I tried it both ways and it just kept the flow better. I tried to keep constant movement to keep it hype. It was more about the twisting/flipping in slow motion than the landing.

That technique can also be used to hide missed landings, tricks that didnt quite work, and other fopahs. Nice way to use footage that otherwise may be unusable. Very nice Job First step........ Take the lens cap off.
