I think almost anyone with kids can agree that the perfect subject is indeed their own child/children.

I generally shoot more automotive events but since the birth of my daughter, I've naturally been shooting more and more portraits. I love that she is always available and never complains when I'm trying new techniques. :D

Anyways, here are a couple of shots that I've taken of her recently.

That second one, where she's making eye contact, is just wonderful. Back in the days of film I personally accounted for all of Kodak's profits when my daughter was born.

The lens flair and the eye contact in shot 2 is amazing. Great shot. Deserves to be huge and on the wall.

glad you guys like the shot. number two is my favorite as well. probably one of the best shots I've taken of a person. sorry that I posted it in the wrong section. didn't realize kids had it's own seperate forum.

Kids are indeed a great subject - especially when they are your own. But once they start getting active they prove to be quite the challenge!! Cute pics!!

oh I bet, for the first year of their life we teach them to stand up and talk, after that we try and figure out how to get them to sit down and shut up. :lol:

I am excited for when she's able to sit on her own though. I'm not very good at posing her, and she's not very patient with the positions I put her in haha.
