Totally agree about portraits and ladscapes with 50.
My first film camera (1963 made) has 52 prime on it.

I don't know guys...I recently sold my 17-40 and have had my 50mm on the 5D full time.

I really can't complain! I like it for everything at the moment.

I've had nothing but the 16-35L II on my 5D for almost two months and I love it...it's all about personal preference. I've always liked wide...with that said, I can't wait for my 100 f2 to get here :)

I'm happy with 100F2 for half of the price. My current favorite travel combo is 35 and 100 primes. Very light and compact. Works well for portraits as well.

Nice! I can't wait for my 100 :)

Love the feel of this shot!

Hi everybody. Finally, I moved to 5D classic from 60D (a 40D before that), and now I'm very, very happy with the results.

Here are some portraits, taken with a 70-200 f/2.8 L. C&C are more than welcome.

Welcome aboard!
I can't really comment on such a beautiful subject.
But, IMO, hair is little bit messy, background is little bit busy for blurred one, and skin is little bit overexposed at my two different monitors (non calibrated). On the second one face is underexposed. I'm looking at it and I want to add flash to it or(and) reflector. Left hand is overexposed, but face is underexposed. Something with light to be too harsh, like it is in the middle of the day.

Haha, I'm considering switching to 5Dc from my 60D. Because of my financial situation, it'll only be done if I find a deal that is just too amazing to NOT take it.

Marlboro, I agree that her skin is a little over-exposed in a couple of areas in each shot, but it looks like it may have been a windy day when you took these, which excuses the messy hair.

Then again, I think anything excuses messy hair, mainly because my hair is almost always messy. Gorgeous subject, though, and I feel like in this case the over-exposure almost kind of works for the shots. It gives them a bit of excitement and emotional contrast... or something. I can't quite put words to it. In any case, love the shots.
