Guys any ideas where I can get an estimate (either on this forum or elsewhere) for my 1D MKIIn? 60K clicks odd on the clock and box and manuals. What do these go for?

Aperture UK have one (complete/boxed) for £750 with a lower shutter count. So, I'd say start at £700.

Wow - it was quite a neat operation then.

Great shots guys - love those demolition captures.

Ronin, I especially like your last one best of all as the mist and dust make it very atmospheric with the tower mid collapse.

I've seen them a few times, but only as a flash of turquoise scything up a stream.

this little chappie landed on a branch and was there for about 30 seconds, could have got a couple of decent shots - before he dive bombed and plucked a fish out of the water!

They often have a few regular branches that they hunt from. It's possible to set up a hide in telephoto range of one and then sit and wait.

Usually it's a long wait though....

Nice work Dom. Gives a real sense of what's going on. They look quite moody too with those tones.

Thanks guys, though the timing was down to luck as it was a finger on the button and hope for the best job, and Cindy it's down to a great lens as well :)

Nice sets of the towers coming down and Mike's video very good.

The way those companies 'manage' the controlled demolition is a real science & art rolled into one ~ cracking record(s).

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p
