Thanks!

Hi! CLP IS 90 days on a refurb. I bought my Mack warranty from Adorama. 3 years including acidental damage for $139. My 7D was $1080. Adorama sells them based on the cost of the product.

Keep in mind you can by the Mack from any retailer..I love Adorama and B&H but check a couple others (eBay,Buy.com and Amazon) there is a substansial price difference on the same product.

It depends on the type of coverage you are looking to purchase. Our standard warranty covers manufacturer defects. Our diamond warranty covers all repairs unless your unit was lost, stolen, or in a fire. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Thank you,
Desiree

Whatever you do warranty wise, also consider a Personal Articles Policy. It will cover things such a theft, dropping, damage, dropping into water, etc. I just got one from State Farm and it costs me $30 per year for almost $3000 coverage - camera, lenses, tripods and such. Wouldn't cover electrical/electronic failure but if bought by credit card you should get some extended warranty. The 90 day refurb warranty isn't that good so some warranty such as the regular Mack might be a good idea.

The type of warranty is based on the cost of the unit. If you email me how much you paid for the unit and what type of coverage you are looking for, I will be able to tell you the type of warranty to purchase. I can be reached via email at elpdesk@mackcam.com (external link).
Thank you,
Desiree

I would spend money on something like state farm personal article policy and make sure all my gear is covered for everything. Darn cheap if you ask me and probably lot better than any of these mac warranties, IMHO.

Sjwolfhope - do you shoot professionally? I'm wondering if you can still get a personal articles policy if you make money from taking photos with your gear.
