Yay new thread! Great pics to kick it off with...

Little unrelated: Am I the only one who absolutely HATES the On/Off/hockey stick switch?

The way I carry it (the way I've carried all SLRs/DSLRs for decades, slung around my neck, with the camera on my left/back), I'm CONSTANTLY switching the aperture dial off...never fully to off, just the aperture dial. It's driving me bonkers. I'm pretty sure that this was a problem Canon was aware of (the switch was redesigned for the 5D2)...but are you guys experiencing the same thing?

I hate reaching for it, and starting to set up a picture, only to realize that the aperture is not working, then have to deal with that...often ruining what would be a decent candid shot.

Was this taken with the 50mm 1.8? Nice shot by the way!

Today's weather was absolutely GREAT! Got a whole bunch of decent shots, been ages since I last made any worthwhile pictures.

A good photographer can take extraordinary photos anywhere, with any camera and any lens while a mediocre one will take mediocre ones everywhere, with every camera and every lens.
Never limit yourself with what others think you should do. Shoot what you find interesting, exactly the way you want to.

Overall, I'd call today a success.
