I wish it was a wee bit cheaper. I'd go for it except my wife's birthday is in two weeks and I'd be in deep doo if I pulled a stunt like that. Maybe fathers day

Thank you. bw!

Blanchy, hope you don't mind, but I have my own lightroom preferred pre sets for waterfalls and tried it on your image.

I'm open to suggestion for improvement as I'm self taught. The image looks great. I don't run Lightroom as I use DPP for most of my RAW's and elements 9 for any further 'playing', so any suggestions would be appreciated. :)

Based on his edit, I would say mainly push the contrast and/or clarity to the right to taste? It's actually a little bit punchier than how I would've done it but to each his own. It's still a good edit though.

By the way, the review in cameralabs is now up. It actually manages to up the t3i sensor a little bit. I can't say I'm surprised.

For everyday personal use, I think the shots produced at this high ISO are extremely good.

Indeed,,, that would even be good for ISO 100 on a regular small sensored point-n-shoot.

They capture the scene as if it real. Doesn't look like a photo but like you're there.

I continue to be amazed at the G1X photos.... Great job to all the posters. I didn't think I'd be tempted over my G12.... but who knows?

It's definitely not for fast-moving subjects. Portraits, scenery (if the contrast isn't too great) and for doing a video:

Or Bike Week in Daytona 2012

But if a subject stays still long enough you can catch a few things. The same image as shot and cropped with edit.

Sharp and in focus just beyond the butterfly, Advaitin what was your shutter speed for this pic.
