Stop it. You're not nice.

95mm filter, people

The samples I've seen so far look absolutely amazing. This thing really brings out the color in a scene.

Julian, did you just snatched up all the 95mm adapter rings? It is not available online anymore. ;)

It looks like there is no way to attach it to the Lee filter system without sawing out the two metal hood pieces.

Very cool! Just watched the video - always enjoy the Zeiss videos - and it looks pretty amazing. Kinda like with the 5D III, I'm disappointed with the price point; it's about 500 USD more than I expected/hoped. 2900 is very high for a DSLR lens, although it's practically a bargain over their M9 version. It better be a killer lens if anyone will buy one...I'm hoping that is exactly the case!

On the video they promoted it for architectural photography...wish they really would get serious about architectural photography and start making a wide-angle lens or two that tilts and shifts.

I wonder about it's distortion.

15/12 elements/groups

I bet it's heavy! OI 820g

It's expensive cause it's big, complex with lots of glass and metal. Also, the USD is sucking.

I was waiting to see the price of this lens before I bought a UWA for my next system - looks like I'll be purchasing a CV 15.

Distortion is said to be 2% Barrel Distortion 20mm out. Pretty good for an UWA.

Also the Press Release and MTF in the first link, samples in the second...

It looks great. Punchy, UWA goodness. MTF is pretty exceptional from 5.6-11.

Awesome samples! Really makes me want one. I need to rummage around my garage to find $2900 of junk to sell... ;)

Zeiss lenses do really look sexy, love the design(would love to own one). This is gotta be one off the best looking lenses i've seen, even from Zeiss. Dont know anything about the performance off those, never tried any, but looking at the samples, it really looks to be a winner.

Agreed. Inability to mount the Lee system on this is a deal breaker for me. I suppose I could handhold a GND but that's just a hassle. I guess I'll stick with my 17-40 and save myself $3K...
