Hey Paolo.

I haven't decided yet. I am a little disappointed with the specs on the 1DX for my needs and so I am leaning towards the 5D3. I am gonna try them both out and see. How about yourself?

I share your concerns as well Zeth. Once I sell my 5D2 I will be picking up the 5D3.

I hope the 1D X successor will have more reach than the 1D4 with f/8 lens support.

One from the other night, under the narrows bridge in Perth, Western Australia.
Can't wait to take this lens out and take some more shots!

Cheers Pat. Love the lack of distortion on this lens!

Thanks!

Here's a sculpture from the same area...a little photoshop lens blur was applied to the background to assist with clarity.

Wow. That really pops. I thought it looked a little strange with such narrow DOF.

What's the deal with this lens? Not many people have it? Does not play well with others? I came across a post that spoke ill of this L lens. I had to check out the sample images to see for myself.

I'm in Canada. Isn't that weird!

This is the kind of stuff I would like to shoot. I managed something similar with the EF-S 10-22 a while back. Well done.

I think because it's a rather 'specialized' focal length, and expensive to boot, that there simply aren't a lot of them out there. That being said, it's a very cool lens.

Is it possible that the post you saw speaking ill of it could have been refering to the original (version I)? Reviews I've read have said that the earlier one was prone to flare and that the second version is much better both flare and CA wise.
