I spray mine with a 50/50 solution of windex and water, and clean them REALLY well with a rag at first, then do the same with newspaper and make sure to get them debris free before putting the caps on them back on. When you use them again, they should be clean. I do that as I need to.

Thanks so much :)

this is some good stuff! I definitely am looking to improving the stability of my rig...thicker pole and making it more rigid with a tension-er of sorts.

Here's a before/after rig shot. I know it's pretty bland and boring and lacks interest but, my roommate just bought the 2012 mini coop and we were bored since we both just finished finals so we went out to shoot a bit:

SOOC Before:

Edited:

processed with Camera Raw and then into CS5 for the cloning, and adding headlight lights from separate exposure, localized curves.

I was trying to think of something fun to do with the shot...but couldn't really muster anything up. There's a lot of blank space so there is room to do something creative with, any suggestions?

^ Second one is great! Can't stand the HDR sky in the last one though. I'm assuming that's a composite?

So much work on this one :-(

Flat light isn't the best and never work by trees would be my advice!

Shot on a D300 with a 10-20 sigma, stacked ND8 filter and a polerizer - lots and lots of PS work

They all are. It was an overcast day. Yeah, you're right, I could probably back off a little on the sharpness on that last one, but the owner liked it. Thanks for your comments!

You kidding? Trees can often make the shot for me.
