What a great screen to show off your photography on. Do you guys think we will be able to beam photos wireless to the new iPhoto from our DSLR cameras using eye-fi cards or another method?

I've been reading alot of mix reviews from photographers.
the main point is the colors on the new ipad are too warm or cold, cant remember.

My Gen1 iPad was a key component when meeting potential clients
I didn't see a need for the 2nd gen, but definitely wanted the new one - got 64 gigs!

Just ran the Spyder calibration on it... Seems ok

Definitely warmer colours than my iPad 2. I put them both side by side and you can see a definite difference. Once you use it though and don't compare the two you get used to it.

I must say though the web surfing is much worse than the iPad 2 because all graphics get upscaled and are therefore blurry. iPad 2 is easier on the eyes to surf the web.

Nope, any site and at no zoom. Any normal image on a page is upscaled so is therefore blurry, this means logos, photos, anything.
It's quite annoying when surfing POTN as photos are all blurry, as is the logo of course.

There are some old-fashioned sites which have jpg text for links and alike, again these are really poor to look at. It's actually quite sore on the eyes as the normal text is very high resolution and beautiful but then when your eyes hit an image it's blurry and your eyes think they've lost focus. Quite a strain actually.

I wish I hadn't sold my iPad 2 now.

I understand everything is upscaled, but I'm just not seeing a significant difference in many things. Avatars maybe, but to me, they looked like crap on either iPad.

Anyone else care to comment? Zoomed in, definitely the edge goes to the iPad 2 if the pic doesn't have enough pixels. But just browsing seems more or less the same. Except the excellent text on the new iPad.

There seems to be a problem for some people with the iPad 3 -

http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1885870 (external link)

I was looking at a friends yesterday and surfing the web for around 15 minutes and I felt like I was getting motion sickness.

Went back to my iPad 2 and all was well again. Damn glad I didn't fall for the hype and rush and get an iPad 3.

Cheers,
Bear Dale

Hopefully posting from my iPhone works but here is a quick snap of the iPad 2 next to my iPad 3 to show the colour difference.

Definately a colour caste there Anke. I wonder if it's possible for Apple to fix that with a software update?

I've read quite a few reports of people having the same issue, perhaps the old one was too white? I've adjusted the brightness and it's a lot better than this photo now, and the fact that I've gotten used to it.
You only notice it when the two are together too.
