I agree. This is quite awesome. I do see some slight vertical banding in the BG, but for ME, this is more than acceptable. I almost never pull 4 stops unless im trying for some single RAW HDR shots...

These images looks a little soft in my eyes, seems more like my 7D. Unless viewing on my iPhone is useless (hard drive failure on my desktop)

bannedPermanent ban

Yes what? Yes banding? ;)

I'd be ok with this amount of banding if it was removeable by NR in post processing, but we all know that it can't be done. Banding is permanent noise.

I really thought that Canon had fixed this by now, but I guess they want to preserve one of 5D2's biggest characteristics.

Wow! The banding in the pushed dog picture is terrible. It looks like there is no improvement over the 5DII in that area.

I have a pre-order in and the money for a 5DIII and new 24-70 is burning a hole in my pocket but I haven't seen any convincing low/medium ISO images out of this camera yet.

I very much want 5D IQ in a 7D like body.
So far it's looking like 7D IQ in that 7D like body.

I think it's more like Digital Rebel quality in 7D body. It's just unbelievable.....oh, I forgot to check my eyesight, sorry :)

It's 50 percent better...... Because there's no horizontal banding.
