Hey just wanted to share with you guys this gem we discovered over at overclock.net

There are several different variants, but all of them use the same LCD panel found in the 27" iMac/Apple 27" Display. For less than half the price!

The most popular variant seems to be the Achieva Shimian QH270 which is available in both a tempered glass and non tempered glass variant. A step up would be the Yamasaki Catleap which has a better stand.

Here's a link to the monitors: http://www.ebay.com …0x1440&LH_PrefLoc=2&rt=nc (external link)

And our discussion thread over at overclock.net (a LOT more information): http://www.overclock.net …an-qh270-and-catleap-q270 (external link)

I'll caution against purchasing the "lite" models that lack OSDs (on screen displays). They don't have color adjustments and there's only so much that calibration tools can adjust on the input side.

Prices have actually gone down significantly since this got popular. More and more seller have started selling these.. they retail for about $250 in Korea

I've started a discussion thread for one of those panels over at computer sub-forum: Link

I'd really like to understand if this is a good monitor for photography or it's mostly good only for gaming.
