I just noticed on the description of the 1DX on B&H, that it had a "gigabit ethernet terminal". Does that mean it actually has an RJ-45 jack for Gbit? If so, that would be huge for pulling pictures off, compared to USB.

The EOS-1D X is compatible with the new WFT-E6A Wireless File Transmitter for wireless LAN and Bluetooth transfer with the IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n standards, performing up to 2.5x faster than previous models.

and this is in the box

USB Interface Cable IFC-200U

Seriously, while a welcome observation, how does this answer the OP's question regarding the "RJ-45 jack"? Anyway, here you go OP: http://www.digidirect.com.au …s/canon_1dx_side_view.jpg (external link)

Thanks, guys! I had looked for pictures of the external connections, but didn't find them. With HDMI, USB and GigE, plus its various wireless options, it's pretty much got the I/O bases covered. Now if it just didn't cost more than my car did...
