Welcome, Shawn!

When I first bought my Canon camera, one of the first things that I did was to buy David Busch's book about my camera:http://www.amazon.com …TF8&qid=1332275561&sr=8-1 (external link)
It is like the instruction book that Canon should've written but didn't. Highly recommended!

Good luck!

Greetings, Shawn, and welcome to POTN!

Hopefully you've noticed that we have a bunch of sub-forums here dedicated to, well, all sorts of stuff regarding photography (not just gear), so take your time here, enjoy yourself, and be sure to post pics and, when needed, ask for info/input!
