Hey, wow, how far back was that? I've been a happy 5DC shooter since back in '07, but I believe this thread (the original version) started in '08!

Not too far back, I bought my 50D some time in early 2011 I guess, and the 5Dc was last Saturday haha.
But I remember your ID, along with gonzogolf, and others, both in the 5Dc thread or elsewhere in POTN and you guys seem like speaking my mind! So yeah I did it hahaha.
Thanks bw!

Cheers! :D

Very nice looking pano and nicely done hdr, not overkilled by PP like 99% hdr pictures.

....I've been just settled into a Lightroom workflow and HDR has been to me a hassle, but since I do play with DPP a lot, well, hey, time to play!

I haven't seen new version of DPP yet, it was hard to get new version in the past, because Canon didn't provided downloads for it, as for as I remember.
All previous versions of DPP were proof of one thing - Canon is hardware maker, not software provider. Clunky GUI and results not so impressive compare to LR.
Once I switched to LR from DPP, my pictures are much, much more better.
For HDR I highly recommend Oloneo software.

Finally an HDR shot that does what HDR is supposed to do, expand dynamic range. Most of the stuff in the HDR section is so comically overdone that it makes my eye twitch. Great job, well thought out shot.

If you haven't tried it yet, Microsoft ICE is prettymuch the best program for that(all forms of panorama really) I've come across.

might be a dumb question, but is it available for OSX?

with a helios 58/2, which i've found out fouls the mirror at infinty focus. no damage done, though i did have to unmount the lens slightly for the mirror to return to it's original position lol

Hey, it snowed last night, at the beginning of Spring!

It's thawed now, but a 5:00 AM this morning my daughter decided to dress goofy, smear some wild makeup on, and then drag me outside with the trusty ol' 5DC to do some spontaneous photos.

Well, all I could do is mount a 580EX flash and comply, so without any lighting setup I was very limited, using the bounce card and hoping to avoide a total snapshot look, with limited results!:

Not great photos, but at least the 5DC can have some fun with taking snapshots:)!

EDIT: Well, dang, my PBase site has become a bit "scrambled" over the years, some shots have disappeared, so I deleted the above pics!
